What payment methods do you accept?

 

We accept Cash, Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard & UnionPay.

(We do not accept AMEX, Diners Club).

All payments are required on the day of the consultation/session. We also do not issue accounts for payment or accept personal cheques.

What if I have Private Health Insurance?

​

If you have an ‘Extras’ cover with a Private Health Fund and this cover includes benefits payable on Osteopathy, then if you bring your membership card with you, we will swipe your card through our HICAPS terminal allowing you to claim on-the-spot. Practitioners at Healthy Living Osteopathy are recognised with most/all health funds.

 

We also suggest you find out what benefit you will receive towards your osteopathic consultation, so you know how much you will have to pay as the 'out-of-pocket' after we have swiped your membership card using HICAPS.

Refer-a-friend - When you refer a friend to Healthy Living Osteopathy you will receive 20% off your next consultation! Simply ensure your friend advises us that they were referred by you on the New Patient Information Form that is completed before their Initial Consultation and we will apply this 20% discount to you to show our thanks!

Are you an Aged-Pension cardholder? - If so, we have heavily discounted our fees so that it is affordable for you to enjoy the benefits that our Osteopathic treatments have to offer! (Aged Pension card holders only, discount not applicable for other pension card holders or health care card holders. Must show your Aged Pension card at the time of your initial consultation).

What if I have approval to claim Osteopathic treatments under WorkSafe VIC or TAC?

​

Our treatments are not claimable by third parties such as Worksafe Victoria or TAC.

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan

 

​People suffering a musculoskeletal condition of longer than six months of duration, may speak with their doctor and enquire if eligible to claim under a Medicare management plan. If eligible, your doctor can write you a referral to see an osteopath for up to five consult in a calendar year to help manage your musculoskeletal condition. 

If you wish to claim these treatments with us, please ensure you advise the doctor of our clinic details. The doctor referral form will need to have the name of the treating Osteopath (KERRY MARTRET), or state the clinic name (HEALTHY LIVING OSTEOPATHY).

We unfortunately cannot process any Osteopathic treatments under Medicare without these specific details printed on the referral forms by the referring doctor or nurse.

Please be sure to bring your doctor referral letter with you to your consultation. After your treatment, we will simply swipe your Medicare card through our payment terminal and your treatment will be claimed on the spot. Please note if you also have private health insurance, you won't be able to also claim under your private health cover. You can only claim under Medicare only.

 

(Please note our 'Feel Better, Live Better, Be Better - Lifestyle Consultations' cannot be claimed under a Medicare plan).

 

Long (Initial) Consultations:

 

You will only need to pay 'the gap', which is the difference between our Long Initial Consultation fee and the Medicare benefit ($61.80)

 

  • For Osteopathic treatment, this gap is $173.20.

  • For Exercise Rehabilitation session, this gap is $173.20.

  • If you hold an Aged-Pension card, the gap is $63.20.


Long (Subsequent) Consultations (up to a remaining 4 visits):

 

You will just need to pay the difference between our Long Subsequent Consultation fee and the Medicare benefit ($61.80).

 

  • For Osteopathic treatments, this gap is $103.20.

  • For Exercise Rehabilitation sessions, this gap is $23.20.

  • For Osteopathic treatments + Aged Pension card, the gap is $18.20

  • For Exercise Rehabilitation sessions + Aged Pension card, there is 'no' gap.


After your five visits have finished, you will not receive any further reimbursement from Medicare for any additional osteopathic treatments (if required) for the rest of that year.
